Sustainable Development Solutions Network

“Getting started with the SDGs in universities” is a guide to help universities, higher education institutions, and the academic sector to accelerate their contributions to the SDGs. The Guide shows how academics can implement the SDGs through their teaching, research, operations and leadership. The guide provides practical guidance and examples.

“Accelerating education for the SDGs in higher education” provides transformative learning cases, research on the effect of common approaches of implementing Education for SDGs (ESDGs) and case studies of university transformation of ESDGs.

 
 
 
 
 

The Green Learning Network

The Learning Hub consists of green learning courses, programmes, institutions, scholarships, publications, and other resources. Resources are continually added to the catalogue and are available to anyone.

 

Sustainability Improves Student Learning (SISL)

STEM academic associations and disciplinary societies worked together to provide resources to increase students’ sustainability learning in undergraduate courses and better prepare students for the 21st century “Big Questions” related to real-world challenges of energy, air and water quality, and climate change.

UNESCO

UNESCO is the United Nations’ agency for education and has been promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) since 1992. Their publication “Education for Sustainable Development Goals: Learning Objectives” is a guide for professionals in education on the use of ESD in learning for the SDGs. The guide introduces indicative learning objectives and suggests topics and activities relating to each SDG. Along with this, the guide identifies implementation methods.
